Funding Applications

Financial assistance for delegates wishing to attend the conference

The conference organisers have secured a limited amount of funding to help with the cost of attending this conference (including the registration fee, economy-class travel and / or accommodation at St Catherine’s College). Participants applying for financial assistance must live and work in a developing country. Preference will be given to those who have an abstract accepted for presentation (NB: abstract deadline is 31 October 2007). Partial assistance, for example with registration fee, may be awarded in some cases.

All applications should be emailed to Sophie Paterson (sophie.paterson@eci.ox.ac.uk) to arrive no later than 7 December 2007. Successful applicants will be notified by email by mid-January 07; this decision will be final. Delegates who are offered financial assistance should make their own arrangements and submit claim forms, with receipts, for reimbursement by cheque or electronic transfer after the event. To apply for this financial assistance, please download, complete and return this application form (link opens application form as a PDF in a new window - you will need the free PDF viewer from Adobe to view the file).

There is a specific funding opportunity available to delegates who are involved in a research project of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) and who have an abstract accepted presenting results of the IAI project. Applicants are requested to seek conference sponsorship directly from the IAI by contacting Gerhard Breulmann, IAI Scientific Officer, gerhard@dir.iai.int.

Other specific opportunities are being sought and details will be posted on this website as soon as information is available. Please monitor this site.
